Racers will do as many laps as they can of our ~1 mile course in 25 minutes. A countdown clock hanging from the finish arch will tell you how much time is left in the race. If there’s still time on the clock, you go out for another lap. All racers finish on their current lap when the clock hits 00:00.
Scroll to the bottom of the page for category definitions. Clipped In for Life reserves the right to combine or split categories based on registration numbers.
Rather than traditional age and gender categories, our adult categories are designed to build camaraderie! Select the category that best describes you:
“No Excuses” Categories: We all have good excuses for not riding our bikes more. Your best excuse is your race category.
High School Coaches & 678 Middle School Coaches: If you’re pouring into the next generation of riders, THANK YOU! Your race is on us – these categories race free. Race your fellow coaches and celebrate your efforts to keep kids pedaling.
Grom Dads & Moms: Parents of elementary school “Groms.” The tables have turned – it’s time for your kids to cheer you on! And as a nod to the time and dedication it takes to support a racer, these categories race at a discounted price (automatically applied).
Grom: “Grom” refers to our elementary school categories, which are broken down by school grade. Grom is the shortened form of grommet, also describing a young mountain biker who tears it up on the trails.
678: “678” categories are for middle schoolers in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade.
High School: Broken down into groups most commonly used by high school mountain bike teams: Freshman, JV2 (formerly Sophomore), JV1, and Varsity. Register for the category you’ll be racing in the upcoming season. If you’re unsure of the best fit, talk with your coach.
