Orangevale Park is a great place to kick off your SacCX season! With the start/finish right in the middle of the course, it brings all the CX vibes as racers wrap around the course on all sides. It’s a flat and fast course which maximizes fun, and we’re bringing back the 2025 layout with an extended singletrack section which received rave reviews. Orangevale still throws all the cross features at you to break up the lap, with several logs to hop, the arena sand, Belgian stairs, grassy turns and dry creek crossings to bring the roller coaster effect.
Course length: 1.75 miles
Elevation per lap: ~44 feet
Course direction: Counter-clockwise (Saturday), clockwise (Sunday)
Bib position: On the left (Saturday), on the right (Sunday)
Chip Placement: Please wear your RFID chip on either ankle on the OUTSIDE of your sock! If your sock gets too mud-soaked it won’t read.
If you would like to pre-ride the course, you may do so from 8:00 am to 9:25 am on race morning. If you arrive after that time, please queue just past the finish line as a race is finishing up. The race announcer will let you know when you may get on the course to pre-ride. Please do not ever pass someone who is currently racing! If you have any questions, we are happy to answer them at the registration tent.
