Join us on Saturday, September 10, 2022 for the Balance Bike Bash in Historic Folsom! Sutter Street is closed to traffic every weekend, so we’re bringing some extra excitement to town with free balance bike races for ages 5 & under.

Races will be held on the 700 Block of Sutter Street between Riley and Wool Streets (closed to traffic) and run every 30 minutes from 10am-12pm. Our specially designed course will have fun features including a bubble wrap “rock garden,” mini rumble strips, and a pool noodle wall for kids to ride through. Every racer gets a race plate and a sticker at the finish.

Advanced signups are now closed, but we still have plenty of room in each race and would love to have your kiddo join us! Please come to Sutter Street, look for the Clipped In Races registration tent, and check-in at “Walkup Registration.”

Each race start (10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM) is limited to 25 kids.

Racers must be age 5 or under on a balance bike only (no pedals). Helmets are required, and we will have a small fleet of demo Strider bikes/helmets available to borrow. In between races, kids can ride the course as much as they want.
