Team Challenge

Join forces with friends and family to tackle the 6 Hour Race as a team! You and your teammates will complete as many laps as you can in six hours. The first rider will start their lap with the mass start at 8:00 AM. Each subsequent rider may begin their lap when the previous rider is finished. Teammates may do any number of laps they want in any order, but all team members must do at least one.

There will be a team exchange area located near the finish line in Asbill Valley, which is a great place to post up and cheer for your teammates!

Awards

Awards for the Six Sigma Six Hour MTB Race will be held on Saturday at 5:00pm at the Six Sigma Winery tasting room. Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each category, as well as:

The Outlier Award: Overall male and female fastest lap.

Course Info

The 6 Hour MTB course features an almost all singletrack main loop that twists and turns on modern flowy trails throughout the Asbill Valley’s beautiful oak forests. Riders of all abilities will have a blast racing this loop! Each lap is approximately 8-9 miles and around 1,000’ of elevation gain. Trails are always being added and improved at Six Sigma thanks to local builder Ninja Trail Works, so the posted route is subject to change up until race week.

Groms under age 12 competing on a Grom Team or Grom Family Team will do their laps on a shortened course that stays in the valley on trails good for passing. Each Grom lap is approximately 1.7 miles with ~130 ft of elevation gain. Groms on the same team will be allowed to complete their laps at the same time to encourage camaraderie. Scoring for Grom Family and Grom Teams will be based on average number of laps completed by teammates and average race finish time of all teammates.
