The Sacramento Cyclocross race series features eight weekend races from October to December, rotating among different venues throughout the Sacramento region. Cyclocross offers a full-body challenge with racing on grass, pavement, mud, steep hills, and other terrain that make you get off your bike, carry it over the obstacle, and jump back on.
The series was founded in 1998 and has been maintained as a grassroots race series through collaboration by local cycling clubs and bike shops. Clipped In Races/Clipped In for Life has been organizing and promoting the series since 2014.
Hone your cyclocross skills with a day of coaching from SacCX Race Director Clint Claassen and Coach Julie Young, founder of Julie Young Training. Topics will include on-the-bike CX skills and drills, bike handling in a variety of conditions, equipment selection and set up, dealing with weather, and tips to avoid common mistakes.
