MTB Ride Camps for Kids

Registration & Pricing

Clipped In for Life Summer Ride Camps provide kids in 2nd-8th grade with an opportunity to spend a week of summer fun on bikes. Camps are grouped by grade with age appropriate routes and destinations.

Register your child for camp based on his/her grade for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

These camps are perfect for kids who:

  • Enjoy riding their bike, being active and playing outside.
  • Demonstrate essential riding skills such as controlled braking, riding up hills and appropriate shifting.
  • Enjoy adventure, discovery, and non-traditional learning environments.
  • Thrive in social, active and outdoor environments.
  • Can stay focused on task and follow group leader instructions.

Visit our FAQs page for specific skill level requirements for each grade.

What’s Required

  • A well fitted helmet and mountain bike.
All bikes must be in good working order. We will be equipped to make basic trailside repairs but we do not carry spare bikes or parts to give your child’s bike a tune-up during camp. Mountain bikes with at least front suspension and disc brakes are strongly recommended for 4th/5th and 678 camps.
  • Combination bike lock.
  • The ability to carry water & snacks, either on the bike or in a hydration pack.
  • A backpack with lunch, snacks, swimsuit & towel.
  • Life vest on the days we visit the lake.
  • A comfort level with being outdoors and active in our summer climate.
  • Recommended: Students should carry a correctly-sized spare tube. Our coaches will also be equipped with spares & tire levers, but this will ensure the right size tube is available for your child if they get a flat.

What’s Included

  • Summer Ride Camp t-shirt
  • Age- and ability-appropriate riding routes and destinations with experienced coaches and leaders.
  • Admission to any paid activity or rental, such as the Folsom Aquatics Center pool, kayak & paddleboard rentals, or museums.
  • Transportation of lunches & water-based activity supplies (like water balloons) to off-site locations.

Refund & Cancelation Policy

Summer Camp participants may request a refund for any reason up to one month before the first day of your scheduled session. Refund requests within this time frame must be submitted via email to community@clippedinforlife.org and are subject to a $25 service fee. Refund requests will not be granted within one month of your scheduled session for any reason.

Participation Requirements

Your child’s skill level and equipment must fit our guidelines outlined on our FAQs page. Please review this information before registering your child. By registering for a Summer Ride Camp, you are agreeing that your child possesses the skill level and equipment necessary to participate. If you have questions about these guidelines, please email us at community@clippedinforlife.org.

Behavior: This mountain bike camp is a unique opportunity for campers to ride on trails throughout the community and explore new places. Unlike many traditional sports where participants can sit to the side of a field if they do not wish to participate, that is not an option for this summer camp.

If a participant does not wish to ride or is acting in a manner that is disruptive to the rest of the group, a parent may be called to come pick him/her up. If a participant is given two warnings that their behavior is disruptive to the group, then he/she may not be allowed to return to camp.

Low Registration

Camps must have a minimum of 12 registered participants. If this minimum is not reached, that week of camp will be canceled and all participants will receive a full refund.

Weather Cancelation

Summer Ride Camps are held outdoors and are therefore subject to cancellation due to weather. If we are unable to hold a camp day as planned, we will communicate to all registered participants as soon as possible. We are unable to offer refunds in the case of weather cancelation.

Deferrals/Transfers

We do not offer rollovers or deferrals to a future year or to other Clipped In for Life events/programs. Entries cannot be transferred to another participant.
